| re: Baseball team forfeits state title to avoid playing against a girl I would have played the game. I have some experience in this quandary. I've coached competitive basketball teams that have faced another team with a girl or two. The girls are usually very good and can compete just fine. As a coach, I didn't like it. The boys get psyched out because they aren't used to the distraction. And they think they will automatically get the win, so the play like shite. I would think baseball would not be as bad as basketball in this regard. Maybe not. Reply Back to Top |
quote:\ The Society of St. Pius X is not in communion with Rome. They have no right to minister in name of the Church. Those kids and parents are being misled. The school has no connections to the Roman Catholic Church and is not in communion. No Roman Catholic should defend this break away Church. They are not Roman Catholic and need to submit to Rome. quote: They haven't. It's easy. The SSPX submits to Rome. What is there to negotiate? Reply Back to Top |
quote: FTFY They are not in schism, and nobody with authority has declared them in schism. Their sacraments are also valid, though they are illicit. And, La Stampa is reporting today that +Fellay (the head of the SSPX) is in Rome to receive the "positive response" to the ongoing doctrinal negotiations. The smart money is on the SSPX being in full communion by the end of the month. Reply Back to Top |
