| The steamer's wheel logo is pretty cool but that name just leads to too mnay jokes, I don't want. Gala is probably the worst uniforms/logo/concept/colors yet. Crescents uni's are pretty cool but I'm not a fan of that name. I don't really want my team named after a shape. It's kind of dumb imo. The pelican's logo is horrendous. The uniforms are acceptable, the colors are unique to the city I suppose. I would be complacent with the pelicans name. Something about these pelicans just doesn't strike me well though. I don't know, maybe bc it isn't the 70's and I'm not 40+ has something to do with why I don't like the complete throw back look/color scheme, I feel like that would be a team from semi-pro. It just seems like a parody name to me. I actually like the Krewe concept but I'm not feeling those unis. There is a bit too much going on with them, and it seems as tho the colors are every single shade of all three mardi gras colors. People are just trying to do too much with that name. So for me, out of these names and uni's: Pelicans=Krewe>Crescents>Steamers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.................>Gala I bet if we did a poll of the city between pelicans and krewe, 15-35 would pick krewe and 35-70 would pick the pelicans. That's just a feeling of mine. Kind of how 15-35 seems to like saints black on black, and 35+ thinks they "look like leotards!" and "need a stripe!". | Again.....New Orleans Pelicans is really a terrible team name. Sounds like a YMCA league team in NOLA full of old dudes with short shorts. I like the design of the Pelicans uni's....but it could probably be compared to the Clips uni's. But Pelicans is just a blah name. 1. The name just doesnt flow. 2. The name has zero/little "coolness" factor when it comes to animal names. 3. The bird has a nut sack under its bill. 4. Do you go with white pelicans or brown pelicans? Possible race card being pulled here... I mean, pelicans do represent LA well, but not as a team name......go with another local bird like the Osprey.....cool arse bird right there. Instead, you considered my post a wash because I didnt drop some cheesy one-liner that described my distaste for that crappy team name.
