| The only thing Obama accomplished with his statement was open up the cash flow from gays who were withholding campaign support. His position will not, in my opinion, gain or lose him the election, nor will it secure any bases that weren't already going to support him. This has zero impact on this election's main issue, the economy, and creates no radical departure from what his Administration was already doing in terms of gay rights. Plain and simple, this was nothing but "lip service" on a position that he has constantly changed to satisfy and accomplish his necessary political desires and goals. Reply • Back to Top |

If he goes down, it will be a pariah-type issue for years. This isn't good for gays IMO.
