| re: 2012 SEC Outdoor T&F Championships at Bernie Moore The stage has been set. Tomorrow is the final day of the 2012 SEC Championships, and most of the major players have qualified for the finals of the track events. For LSU fans, it will be your final chance to see the greatest men's high hurdler in school history run in an LSU uniform at Bernie Moore Stadium. Of course I'm talking about the reigning NCAA champion, Barrett Nugent. It will also most likely be your final chance to see one of the greatest female sprinters in school history run in an LSU uniform at Bernie Moore. Of course I'm talking about junior Kimberlyn Duncan who will likely bypass her final year of eligibility and turn pro if the next month goes according to plan. She may very well go down as the greatest female sprinter in school history, but the jury is still out and won't return a verdict until June 9, the final day of the NCAA championships, which coincidentally will broadcast live on CBS. So for you casual track and field fans who have never seen track at its highest levels, don't pass up this opportunity to attend the SEC Championships which isn't due to return to Baton Rouge until the 2026. quote: LSU's first three legs (Nugent to Ernest to Talley) can hold their own anybody in the nation. It's the anchor, whoever that might be tomorrow, that has been the biggest weakness all year long. Too bad they aren't running the 3x100 tomorrow. ![]() Reply Back to Top |
