Even if a combo of say Asik and Smiht works out well in the end, it's not impressive if you are trying to sell Dwill that the opportunity in NO is better than Brooklyn. I just don't see why he'd pick an unknown like the Hornets over a known like Brooklyn if he chooses to rebuild. He knows he has input in Brooklyn and New Jersey's core of Marshon Brooks, Lopez and Gerald Wallace isn't terrible. Reply • Back to Top |

| I don't think Dallas would be that great with him. It'd be just Dwill, Dirk and who else? Haywood? Marion? Even if they amnestiy one of them and got Howard, they don't have any cap room left and they end up an older, shallower version of Miami. The West will chew them up. Reply • Back to Top |

| Everyone keeps saying Beson needs to spend money and pay big players to win. But isn't it really out of his hands to an extent? The team has a cap that he can't spend over, right? So even if he wants to spend big and pay good players to come here, he is limited. Reply • Back to Top |

| I didn't say he was coming to NOLA, just that I don't see him staying in Brooklyn, ESPECIALLY if Wallace is gone. My money's on Dallas as well, mainly because there's a chance of them winning there quickly as opposed to more mediocrity in Brooklyn. The Hornets have a great player in Gordon, a chance to get another in the draft. We also have money to spend in a year or two with Oak's contract coming up. Exciting stuff for Hornets' fans. The front office just needs to make sure it's done correctly and our free agent signings pan out. That's why I'd like to get some good young players Dragic to play with Gordon and Davis/Robinson. | I get all that about how to build teh team. I was just asking why everyone said he needs to spend big, but sometimes it's hard to spend big even if you have the money and want to. I think people are meaning spend wisely when they say spend big. Reply • Back to Top |

| McGee looks like he just needs to be coached. I've been against going after him in the past, but watching him with a decent team around him, he looks like he has the potential to be a top 3 center behind Howard and Bynum. Huge risk, huge reward, and I think we're a team that needs to take that kind of chance. Depends on the draft, though, but a team like Jack/EG/Ariza/Robinson/McGee has a lot of potential.
