| And you link Rachel Maddow's blog...you fricking partisan hack. You get dumber each and every day. This post was edited on 5/2 at 9:46 pm Reply Back to Top |
| nothing like linking Rachel Maddow for straight facts on republicans. Do you want me to link you to Rush Limbaugh's opinions on Obama? Reply Back to Top |
quote:Liar. Ryan is against the $600 billion cut that even Leon Panetta claims would "tear a seam in the nation's defense". Ryan supports major military spending cuts and, in fact, is only proposing to reduce the size of the cut the Pentagon is facing. They would still take a cut of possibly several hundred billion dollars under his proposal. LINK LINK That's what you get for linking Maddow. Reply Back to Top |
quote: boom? I think boom. BTW, otto, how's that that research into "women's subconcious yearning for rape" going? This post was edited on 5/2 at 10:32 pm Reply Back to Top |

| otto, the Dept of Defense is one of the few FedGov agencies that actually does make significant spending cuts . . . often to the detriment of force readiness. The US military forces have been planning for big force size cuts ever since 2009. Even Leon Panetta, no war hawk for sure, warns that the cuts proposed by some are dangerously severe. But don't let Truth and Facts get in your way. Why start now? Reply Back to Top |
| So Otto got owned again for spewing (his favorite word) propaganda and then promptly bolted his own thread as usual? This post was edited on 5/3 at 6:10 pm Reply Back to Top |

| What you have is Ryan is attempting to back away from the current, actual agreement. no surprise. and no surprise you have to guess how much he would cut. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I bet you also buy the argument that the debt ceiling agreement means the Senate Democrats don't need to propose, let alone pass, a budget this year either, don't you? Reply Back to Top |
| I'm a patriotic Rep., but I can tell you from first hand experience as the son of a retired Air Force pilot, that we can cut leftover WW2 bases all over the world. They are not connected to militant Muslums or Al-Kaida and we are not fighting the Germans or Japanese anymore. Just leave Afganistan and close about 20 WW2 bases and you've got $400 mil in cuts that don't affect or hurt present day military. Reply Back to Top |
quote:From my link: "the Pentagon is expected to make $487 billion in cuts over the next five years"... "Ryan's proposed 2013 budget would replace $214 billion of that." $487,000,000,000 -$214,000,000,000 $273,000,000,000 For you to headline "Ryan against military cuts" when he's proposing a $273B cut is pretty deceitful of you and Maddow.
