Look, I didn't vote for Obama...

...but I don't think the photos I saw yesterday of Obama fistbumping soldiers in Afghanistan quite mesh with this narrative.

Obama's ad featuring Clinton was offensive, yet effective. If the GOP and its surrogates attempt to criticize Obama for spiking the football re: bin Laden, it will not end well for the GOP.

Ari Fleischer is right on this one:
quote:

GOP should not criticize O 4 this trip. It's the power of incumbency-accept it. Plus, election is still about the economy..

LINK

It's a land mine the GOP should just walk around.

I heard C. Matthews lamenting the fact that it will be big monied Superpacs who go all into Swift Boat mode right before the election, that will maul Obama with everything including the kitchen sink. And Romney can't even be blamed for it.

Sew the wind...reap a whirlwind.

IMO...the Conservatives should use every single bullet in it's cache. Grassy knoll or from wherever.

Hey dude...it's a METHPHOR...or swift boat type political ads where NOBODY KNOWS who is responsible. Don't give the snitches on this board any ideas...or the JB thugs will be kickin my door in.

Thanks for covering my back though.

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one.

This is not a GOP ad, this is put out by Veterans, just like the ones who did the Swift Boat Part I. Those guys actually had to provide back up while Kerry courageously took on that paper cut hit.

The reason it worked is because it struck people as honest, coming from people who knew Kerry.

I think this ad will work because it's from VETS.
And the only silver lining out of the McCain campaign is that because he didn't go after Obama in 08, he has credibility when he says that heroes don't brag.

Yeah, but remember you are dealing with the Obama Justice Department.

Agreed. I wasn't aware that the Vets had taken credit.

What really rubs me wrong about the whole thing...is that the very HEROES who lay down their lives...can't even be celebrated in public. Never see their face, or know their name. Those fellas would never be able to pay for a meal again, if we knew who they were. But...Obama...acts like he jumped out of a helicopter and into the dark amongst vipers.

I know those SEALS say it don't matter...but it does. And if they don't get credit...nobody should. Especially Obama.

I tell ya red...I could really use the notoriety about now. Might sell a few paintings if I got some publicity. Even if I had to paint them in jail.

Unconstitutionally usurped congress' power by staying in libya too long months after accepting the Nobel Peace Prize. Other than that you had a nice summary.

You can find out who the major players in a super pac are, if you are resourceful or have the resources.
