| But but but... I thought a good dose of Jesus would cure the gay. Worked for Ted Haggard right? (meth and male prostitute notwithstanding.) Reply Back to Top |

| I do get the concept behind what he is saying though. You should be more forceful (not in the physical sense) in pushing your child to the gender role of his biological sex in the early years growing up. Later in life (later adolescence perhaps), then if they won't be happy unless they are gay or trans_____, then that's another story. Kids are being forcefed the "it's ok to be gay" line way too early nowadays before they are just allowed to grow and develop as children mentally (and to clarify, I do believe it is ok to be gay....I just think that children get this fantasized picture of it and not all of the hardships that will come in their lives). Parents should try to nip the boys wearing high heels and wanting to play house all the time in the bud early in life. If later in life (or at least in their teen years) they decide they want to be gay, then I can't fault them. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I don't buy this. These things work themselves out if they can. If he's going to be gay he's going to be gay. I don't see how punishing a 4 year old for putting his mom's high heels is going to change that? Reply Back to Top |
quote:Have you ever met anybody who decided they wanted to be gay? Reply Back to Top |
quote: There shouldn't be anything to force. If there is an issue, then it's nothing that can be "forced" anyways without fricking up the kid. Just love the damn kid regardless. quote: WTF are you talking about? Where does this ever happen? Reply Back to Top |

| One of the last conversations I had with my dad was on the front porch of our old little home back in the early 80s in New Iberia. We were sitting in two rocking chairs. My second (and last child) had recently been born. So for whatever reason I asked him: "Dad, what if I had been born gay?" He kept rocking for 10 seconds and in a very mild tone of voice said "Oh, I would have beatin' it outta ya." And folks, he would have. Reply Back to Top |

quote: I have. This girl I knew got hurt by several guys. She said frick it. I've also met people who have said they've always been attracted to the same sex. Reply Back to Top |
quote:Those aren't children. I'd put the average age of those "high school kids" at about 30. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Just because kids are being taught that it's ok to be gay doesn't mean they're being indoctrinated and brainwashed into homosexuality. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
