| Thermacell Posted by ChenierauTigre Everybody on here seems to think they are effective. The box claims that it repels mosquitoes and black flies. Does anyone know if it works on gnats? The gnats are so bad here that you inhale them when you breathe. It sucks. And does it really work on the biting flies? I want to try it in my kayak. Reply Back to Top |

quote: I have thought about this also. I bought that Swamp Swatter gnat repellent, but the results were inconclusive when I used it last month. Thought I would try it out yesterday at Cocodrie, but when the wind is blowing 100 mph, gnats are a non issue. Reply Back to Top |

| Even after the mosquitoes aren't an issue when it cools off, you can take used pad (or whatever the thing is that has the repellent on it) and douse it with some vanilla. Deer smell the sweet aroma and usually come check it out if nothing else has their attention... Reply Back to Top |
