LGBT Thought Police Lawyers sue Pastor for Crimes Against Humanity I believe in the philosophy of "I may despise what you say but I'll fight with you so you have that right of speech." Sadly these lawyers don't.
quote:
A law firm known for publicity-seeking tactics is suing an American minister in U.S. Federal Court because he criticized homosexuality in Uganda. The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) says pastor and attorney Scott Lively committed “persecution,” a “crime against humanity” as defined in the Rome Statutes of the International Criminal Court.
quote:
CRR spokesman Pamela Spees told the New York Times, “This is not just based on his speech. It’s based on his conduct.” The lawsuit claims that Lively “traveled to Uganda twice,” “spoke at a ‘Seminar on Exposing the Homosexual Agenda,’” “held an all-day pastors’ conference allowing only invited media or guests,” “addressed students at Nkumbe University on the ‘Dangers of the Culture of Porn,’” “led a service at the Ugandan Christian University,” “met with the Kampala City Council” and other activities the group considers objectionable and legally actionable.

is it still a capital offense in Uganda? if so, your American minister was endangering lives. International court is the appropriate venue.
quote:
Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Bill (often called the "Kill the Gays bill" in the media)[1][2][3] is a legislative proposal that would broaden the criminalisation of same-sex relations by dividing homosexual behavior into two categories: "aggravated homosexuality", in which an offender would receive the death penalty, or "the offense of homosexuality" in which an offender would receive life imprisonment. "Aggravated homosexuality" is defined to include homosexual acts committed by a person who is HIV-positive, is a parent or authority figure, or who administers intoxicating substances, homosexual acts committed on minors or people with disabilities, and repeat offenders. "The offense of homosexuality" is defined to include same-sex sexual acts, involvement in a same-sex marriage, or an attempt to commit aggravated homosexuality. It further includes provisions for Ugandans who engage in same-sex relations outside of Uganda, asserting that they may be extradited for punishment back to Uganda, and includes penalties for individuals, companies, media organisations, or non-governmental organisations that know of gay people or support LGBT rights.
wiki authority figures. that would go to teachers, public officials, members of the legal professional, officers in the military, and many other jobs. All dead, killed by your self important priss of an American minister.

How did he endanger lives? He didn't write their legislation. If you read the article you would have seen this:
quote:
Lively was disappointed the legislation “is so harsh.” He advocates for remedies focused on rehabilitation, not punishment. Lively called the accusations against him “absurd.” “Implying that my speech and writings about homosexuality overpowered the intelligence and independence of the entire government and population of Uganda, bending them to my supposedly nefarious will is a breathtakingly insulting and racist premise.”
Now, if his speech can be considered that of "endangering lives" then gay bareback porn can easily be seen as endangering lives as well.

It's filmed in another county. It's also going to continue to be sold here. What about gay bars and gay sex clubs? They could easily be deemed to "endanger lives."

He shouldn't. The right of free speech should be protected but you don't want those that disagree with you to have that right.

So, if one just wouldn't show up for international court, what would happen?

fire in a crowded theater. I have no idea what standing anyone has in a US court to address crimes against humanity perpetrated in Africa. I suppose they have to go after him where he is. The US courts will be lenient, compared to a Euro-International court.

He was in Uganda. Does he have the bill of rights apply to his crimes while in Uganda?

U.S. Courts are supposed to protect his constitutional rights as an American citizen with freedom of speech and freedom of religion being in the first amendment of that document. Secondly, he didn't write the laws in Uganda. The government in Uganda did. They aren't suing the Ugandan government in International Court who are the ones that wrote the law. This is extremely racist because it states that the people in Uganda are such weak people that he "made" them write their laws by his speaking their. As I said, if gays don't want to have their lifestyles and speech regulated when much of it "endangers lives" then they should not sue a man over his speech for such.

What does the Uganda law state? He would be protected by Ugandan law then.

In April 2009, a local Ugandan newspaper printed the names of suspected homosexuals, another printed tips on how to identify gays for the general public,[43] and, in October 2010, another named Rolling Stone published a story featuring a list of the nation's 100 "top" gays and lesbians with their photos and addresses. Next to the list was a yellow strip with the words "hang them". Julian Pepe, a program coordinator for Sexual Minorities Uganda, said people named in the story are living in fear and attacks have begun prompting many to abandon their jobs while some have relocated. The paper's editor justified the list to expose gays and lesbians so authorities could arrest them, while Nsaba Buturo dismissed complaints from gay people and sympathisers by stating that protests about the outing is part of a campaign to mobilise support and sympathy from outside the country.[44][45] On 26 January 2011, Uganda's most prominent gay activist, David Kato, was found bludgeoned to death in what authorities in Uganda are characterising as a robbery. His photograph had been published in Rolling Stone; the high court in the country ordered the newspaper to stop publishing images of gay and lesbian people after Kato and several others sued the paper.

Your supposed 188 IQ is as blinding as the flame on a birthday cake candle on a jet runway at midnight in a heavy thunderstorm. Once again, what is the Ugandan law since you said he was in Uganda? I want to know what Ugandan law Living broke? BTW, if you had read the article posted you would have seen this about the law firm.
quote:
CRR describes itself as “committed to the creative use of law as a positive force for social change.” CRR was co-founded by William Kunstler, a self-described “radical lawyer” famous for representing sometimes violent political and social activists. The law firm uses the courts to advance the activists’ work. Its strategy is “Success without victory,” that is, choosing cases not to win but to generate media or bolster the activists.
They represent violent activist they agree with yet they are misusing the court and dragging people through shite to generate media and bolster activists. They should be disbarred and jailed for this.

he is stirring up shite in Uganda. The Ugandans were talked by him and others like him, into writing a bill to make it a hanging offense to be a homo while holding a job as authority or while being a parent. the law is being held up by international furor. The pastor is continuing to press for the bill to become law.

Here's an actual link to the bill. LINK It covers infecting someone else with HIV, statutory rape, incest, raping a disabled person, regular rape, and a person of authority taking advantage of someone beneath them. It's not like they are rounding up homosexuals to bring them to some camp and then kill them. It is the death penalty for serious offenses.

My god you're an idiot. Read the actual bill and then tell me Uganda is trying to kill homosexuals simply for holding positions of authority.
