Why are liberals so conerned with how others live their life?
Posted by CptBengal on 4/26 at 9:03 am
Why do they feel the need to be involved in every tiny detail of someone else's life?

Why is there so much jealousy for people who worked hard and succeeded?

Why is there so much hatred for people who choose to believe in religion?

Why do they hate freedom of choice if that choice is not the choice they would make?

This isn't limited to the liberals.

Campaign strategy, mostly.

None of the "leaders" care a LOT about these issues (on either side). But, it is hard to rally the troops with an inspirational speech like:

"We are kinda like the other team. Just slightly different with very little to discern our actual impact that would differentiate us from them. Now, LET'S GO OUT THERE AND BE THE SAME!!!!"

Insufferable know-it-alls. Overinflated opinion of their intelligence. Lack of wisdom. Failure to learn from or even acknowledge errors of thought or action. All rooted in bitter insecurity that overly stimulates their need for unity and support from like minded individuals, and which fuels their hatred of anyone who would question their opinion. This insecurity and excessive need for like-minded support slants their worldview even more fundametally, in that they tend to see a dichotomous world of victims and perpetrators. This worldview provides such a comfort zone for these individuals, that they will strongly resist any challenge to it. This explains the dependency on snide remarks and sound-bite philosophy that is emotion based and so extremely shallow. That's why you find them employing the tactic of attacking the messenger as their first and last resort in any discussion.

Exactly OP! Liberals starting the War on Drugs, trying to get prayer back in schools, requiring women to be vaginally probed, damned liberals are out of control!

I certainly agree with the point being made. However, that's a different social pathology, with different root causes. It would be more worthy of discussion if the radical branch of social conservatives were more cohesive of a unit, and still had any but token impact on the culture, politics, and laws of this country. A full-bred radical social conservative is soon to go the way of the dodo. That person is mostly now just a straw man for liberal talking points.

Why are you so concerned with what liberals are concerned about?

To them you're a dimwit while they are intelluctually your superior in every manner measurable, so to them they are looking for what is in your best interest. Just take a look at the superior ones at the Occupy rallies along with the group expected to be in Chicago next week, or at Oboes campaign headquearters in Chicago for proof.

Totally, I mean that person basically doesn't exist. Whereas the streets are pretty much flooded with openly communist radicals, trying to overthrow the US economy...

Are you asserting that they didn't?

Nixon coined the term, sure. . .but who started the "war"?

quote:

1970: The Controlled Substances Act (CSA) was enacted into law by Congress. The CSA is the federal U.S. drug policy under which the manufacture, importation, possession, use and distribution of certain substances is regulated.

Now about that congress:

quote:

Both chambers had a Democratic majority.
Sooooo. . .

Social conservatives got Bush elected both times (remember the whole gay marriage debate in 04).
Social conservatives got Romney to win 12 primaries.
Social conservatives aren't going anywhere, anytime soon.

Since when does "The Liberals started the war on drugs" mean "the liberals didn't start the war on drugs" ?
