I know some will bitch about EA being greedy but I think the expansion pack was the right way to go about it, the World Cup versions of FIFA have always been my favorites.

So, is this something you download for a price or do I need to go to the store to get it?

The new content went up on PSN and Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday for £15.99 and 1,800 MS points respectively, promising to offer all 53 UEFA-member national teams and the eight official stadiums from the summer tournament.

However, it has now been revealed that only 29 of the 53 national teams are fully licensed, with the remaining squads sporting fake names and generic kits. The biggest omissions include Wales, Slovakia and, somewhat unbelievably, tournament co-hosts Ukraine.

For a franchise that has always prided itself on offering the fully-licensed "authentic" experience, this failure to get licenses for teams such as Estonia, Belarus and FYR Macedonia into the FIFA 12 expansion seems like a major oversight.

Responding to the furore, the publisher confirmed that the Euro 2012 expansion includes 24 generic teams, explaining that it wanted to have every national team officially licensed but was unable to make this happen.

I guess licensing issues. Always pissed me off when Holland was like this.

Fortunately, I have no desire to play with Luxemborg, or even the Ukraine.

There's also no qualifying or captain your country like in Euro 2008.

So, basically.... it's $20 to play a tournament, with half of the teams unlicensed.

No qualifying is why I have no interest.

I downloaded it on XBox and played it for a couple of hours. It's decent.

It has a mode where you can create a team using your virtual pro, and every team you beat offers you a player, and you can swap with one of your players.

I plan on taking my created team "The Principality of Monaco" all the way to the final.
