Flopping in the NBA Posted by droman225 Obviously there is no place in the game for obvious flopping. So my question is what, if anything, should the league do to players who are caught flopping. Foul, flagrant foul, technical foul? What say you Reply Back to Top
I would like it to be called a flagrant 1 with a mandatory $5000 fine and no appeal. Reply Back to Top
T multiple offenses = fine. but it's going to be hard to police, except for instances like last night. people flop to get a charge all the time, but that's harder to catch. can't go watch every charge on the monitor to see if there was a flop or not. gotta be kinda blatant. Reply Back to Top
didn't they make a rule about flopping somewhat recently, but it just never got enforced? Reply Back to Top
It'd probably have to happen at a key time in a high profile game to matter. Reply Back to Top
In HS they called a T on our opponent for a flop. It was the first and only time I have ever seen it called Reply Back to Top
My little brother got T'ed up in frickin JUNIOR HIGH for flipping on a charge/block. I had never seen that before or since. Reply Back to Top

It's going to be almost impossible to enforce, but they need to do something. It's slows down the game in a bad way, and is a momentum killer. How are they going to be able to figure out which are flops and which aren't? Only some players do it, so maybe they're weaker than other NBA players? I'm not agreeing with it, I can just see the uproar now. This is also why I don't want Tyler Zeller. Reply Back to Top

Stop calling fouls on flopping. A few players fall and are on the ground while the other team is scoring and those players will stop flopping so much. Reply Back to Top
