| question for computer nerds Posted by aaronb023 my 6 year old desktop i was using as a home server finally crapped out. pretty positive its a mobo problem. i was looking to get a new desktop and/or NAS in the next year anyway but until then i need to get my data off of a couple of RAID drives. whats the best way to do this? all i have is a laptop. if need be i can go plug em into my dads pc but it'll be a pain in the ass. also, i was backing up these drives to an external usb drive using windows home server. it wont let me access the external drive from my laptop. if i can restore from the external it may be easier? any help here would be appreciated Reply Back to Top |
