| re: Aston Villa FC 2012 Season Thread According to the Sunday mirror Roberto di Matteo has emerged as a front runner for the Villa job Reply Back to Top |
| I'd freaking love that compared to other managers that have been listed. Want to hold hands and shite in our pants, if it happens ? Reply Back to Top |
quote: I would love it as well. If Chelsea decides to bring somebody else in I think he'd definitely consider it. Of course he should be offered the job there so he could well be off the market. I actually feel like we have a good amount of options especially compared to last summer when the pickings were slim and the board went for someone who wasn't even on the radar. quote: A traditional Alabama celebration I take it? | No, that's beating your significant other with joy. We even have toys modeled after us. Reply Back to Top |

| He'd be better than many other options, but I'm kind of meh about di Matteo. I see him as a modern day Tony Barton. I think I'd still rather have Lambert has a realistic option, although I'm intrigued by Rafa's odds being so short all week. Reply Back to Top |
| Liverpool thread is dueling with you guys about where Martinez goes. FWIW, we're all pulling for Villa. Reply Back to Top |

quote: In regard to Pool fans, absolutely. None of us want Martinez, and Villa does. Everyone that wears the Liver Bird is pulling for them to win this contest. Reply Back to Top |

| I would be very happy with Martinez Reply Back to Top |
Yea, but i'm unrealistic. ETA: Well, I don't know about unrealistic. I'm just very optimistic that Martinez would be our #2. I'd love to get a bigger name. Martinez has just kept Wigan's head abv the water. Nothing else. 34 wins in 127 matches. meh. This post was edited on 5/27 at 11:05 pm Reply Back to Top |
| Lambert confirmed as Villa boss. The right hire imo. Looking forward to his setup next month in Chicago. Reply Back to Top |
| Looks like Alan Thompson's leaving Celtic to join up with Lambo as assistant manager. Reply Back to Top |
| Bump for my csb. Just got back from Aston Villa's training session at Toyota Park. Got my Villa flag signed by most of the squad, including Guzan, Lichaj, Bent, Dunne, Agbonlahor and Ireland. When I was about to leave, Ian Taylor also walked up to me, shook my hand and chatted with me for a few seconds. Awesome. Reply Back to Top |
| Did Gabby Agbonlahor fondle your sack? That would be an SB CSB. Reply Back to Top |

| Very cool. So dissapointed I couldn't make the trip up north to see them. Did you get a chance to talk to any of the players? I'm gonna start the new Villa season thread soon but I wanted to wait until the squad has begun to take shape a bit. I have a feeling it will be a very different team by August 31. Carruthers is definitely one to watch this year IMO. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
