| Saints on the Top 100 Players of 2012 Show So the NFL Network is doing another countdown of the top 100 players going into the 2012 season as voted on by the players. So far here are the guys who made it on the 2012 list: 86) Darren Sproles 58) Jonathon Vilma 32) Jahri Evans With Drew's record breaking season last year he should nail down a top 5 ranking easily. Last year we had 5 guys make the list: 55) Carl Nicks 53) Marques Colston 37) Jonathon Vilma 34) Jahri Evans 9) Drew Brees This post was edited on 6/7 at 5:42 pm Reply Back to Top |
| Sproles, Graham, Colston, Evans, Brees All will be on it. Brees will make the top 3, no question. Reply Back to Top |
| Brees will be number one, Book it! Reply Back to Top |
quote: I agree with you, but I highly doubt the NFL will put him there. Whoever votes on this, is going to look past the criteria of it being for 2012 only, and put Brady ahead of him somehow bc he has more rings. Wouldn't surprise me if Eli got put at the top since he won the super bowl. Brees SHOULD get the #1 spot. This post was edited on 4/18 at 7:25 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote:nope. He should be but it will go to Brady or Rodgers Reply Back to Top |
| Just how much higher do you think they put Gronk over Jimmy? Reply Back to Top |
| Both should be top 20 IMO Reply Back to Top |
quote:probably a good bit. Everyone seems to give jimmy the " he plays in a pass happy system with a hof qb" but somehow overlook that same statement when it comes to gronk Reply Back to Top |
| I bet Graham stays healthier than Gronk. Reply Back to Top |
quote: They had similar seasons. Jimmy 99 rec. 1310 yards 11 TD Gronk 90 rec. 1327 yards 17 TD Reply Back to Top |
| Media loves Gronk much more, and players will hop on Gronks TD's which is all they heard about all season. Reply Back to Top |
quote:In all honesty, why shouldn't it go to them? Both had terrific seasons as well and took their teams as far or further in the playoffs. I understand that Brees had the record breaking season and I do want to disregard it, but the Saints chose to go to the air more than the other two. Both of the guys you listed had higher yards per completion and Rodgers had a higher QB rating. I agree it should definitely be these three in the top three but I have a hard time agreeing that Brees should be ranked numero uno. I think Rogers is the number one player from 2012. | Yeah no doubt. I'm thinking Colston will be somewhere in the 50's again, maybe the 60's at the lowest. He's just to consistent of a player to fall very far. He got hurt early on and missed a few games but ended up with 80 rec. for 1143 yards and 8 TD's. That TD grab vs. the 49ers was a beaut, of course it was a perfect throw from Brees also This post was edited on 4/18 at 8:14 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote:well I'm not saying my bias isn't coming into play here but yeah all 3 are interchangeable IMO Reply Back to Top |
quote: I totally agree. When it comes to the elite QBs of the league, it can be anyone of them on top at any time. Those being Brees, Brady, Rogers, P.Manning. That is assuming he comes back to form. I think Eli is working his way on the list but he is a little sporadic for me. Reply Back to Top |
