Anyone have any suggestions for the best quality steel toe boots for the cheapest price? Also, where can I buy them? Need to get a pair by Monday night. Thanks

Doesn't matter. Just find a pair that are comfortable, and you're fine.

Redwings are what I have. You can get them at Academy. I think I got mine for $150ish?

This is true, but it depends more on if he just needs them for a 1 time thing or everyday use.

You don't want to buy a shitty pair to wear everyday

Are you retarded?

Protecting your toes is one thing...being comfortable is another

Go to Academy and try some on. I am on my second pair of Wolverines. They are the most comfortable ones I could find, but aren't the most durable in my line of work.

I've found timberlands to be the lightest and most comfortable

For slip on boots the most expensive Wolverines at Academy are awesome. The Dr. Martens are pretty good too but don't last as long and are looser. For lace up the Timberland Pros are great.

My $80 pair of wolverines outlasted my $200 ariats (though not as comfortable). After finding this out I quit taking suggestions on boots and will buy only Justin's and/or stick with the ones I think look/feel best.

Buy what's comfortable. Anything that anyone can suggest is based on what's comfortable to Them. And a lot of people buy one brand and stick with it (or just have tried 1 or 2 brands) so they really don't have anything to compare it to.

The best "steel" toe shoes aren't made of steel.
some kind of plastic composite.
Much lighter and more comfortable.

But those are very difficult to find and usually are not made in the most "feature filled" models.

Wolverine steel toe slip on shoes are very comfy, durable and about $120. IMHO

Those ariats I had we're composite. They don't have that "cutting into your foot" feeling when breaking them in. I didn't know they were composite until the leather busted at the toe and the white shite was showing.

Western boot store in denham (off of range) had a nice selection when I went.

If you work somewhere that's required to have steel toe, they may not accept composite. I know they won't pass the magnet test...
