The new Transformer comes out on April 22nd and won't be as good, it will be a little cheaper than the current Prime but with a lesser quality screen and less battery life I think. It is definitely not an upgrade if thats what you're waiting for.

On my 10.1 tablet right now. the prime is a little better tablet but the samsung does all i need.

You can update it for sure. samsung tabs will recieve ice cream sammich this summer.

They have been saying this would be the case in 6 months for the past two years.

ETA: and when you have apps selling for $1 billion dollars that were iOS exclusives up until a week before they sold, I doubt many people are deciding to develop Android first.

ICSis great, developers need to nut up though and start following Googles HIG

ETA: you probably also use windows 7 which visually is almost exactly like windows 95. But you don't consider that "stale".

Sorry, should've clariefied...I mean the Transformer Infinity or 700 series, which will likely be in June sometime. Off the top of my head I believe it will be a better screen resolution (rivaling new iPad), and maybe a few other things. I've looked at the trnasformers a good bit and gotta say that's likely the direction I'm headed when I ultimately get a tablet

I have the original transformer with the docking station, in fact I am posting from it now. It is a really nice tiny package to use for everything, the power consumption is amazing. I could use this thing all day without problems, even can charge my phone while it runs wifi for me.

Not sure who you are referring that statement to, but flash isn't the only reason I'm going Android, but it's a huge plus for me. Sorry I'm not an apple fan boy.

I'm sorry, are you saying iOS 1.0 and iOS 5.1 are the same thing? I didn't think so.

aesthetically there is not much difference apart from higher DPI icons between 95 and 7

Either way, what are you looking at most on your device, the home screen or the apps? The apps make the device.

When you have a functioning home screen (aka widgets) you are less app reliant. But you wouldn't really know that.
