You just brought back lots of memories with Buddy Roy. Used to go see him play at his club on Flordia Blvd and found it funny when they would bust out with Celebration by Kool and the Gang.

Pot Liquor was like the heavy rock of their era.

Atchafalya (the band) that was very popular around LA in the 70s and 80s. They aren't on Youtube at all but they made some great music. My Dad had me listening to them since I was very young, and I still listen to them today.

His brother Jimmy still has a band in BR and his sons still play a lot in the area. His loss was a huge blow to the local music scene.

OldTigahFot, did you ever go to the Sportspage off Old Hammond and Sherwood? I know there was a few bands that came through there, one being 24K but can you remember any others?

George Ratzlaff, the lead singer from Potliquor, is a good personal friend of mine.

ETA: He was also lead singer for The Basement Wall which was inducted into the LA Music Hall of Fame.
