You just brought back lots of memories with Buddy Roy. Used to go see him play at his club on Flordia Blvd and found it funny when they would bust out with Celebration by Kool and the Gang. Pot Liquor was like the heavy rock of their era. This post was edited on 4/7 at 10:12 pm Reply Back to Top
Atchafalya (the band) that was very popular around LA in the 70s and 80s. They aren't on Youtube at all but they made some great music. My Dad had me listening to them since I was very young, and I still listen to them today. Reply Back to Top
quote: His brother Jimmy still has a band in BR and his sons still play a lot in the area. His loss was a huge blow to the local music scene. Reply Back to Top |
Liquidrone - Live at One Eyed Jacks I stumbled across this on youtube and realized that I was at that show. Reply Back to Top

OldTigahFot, did you ever go to the Sportspage off Old Hammond and Sherwood? I know there was a few bands that came through there, one being 24K but can you remember any others? Reply Back to Top

George Ratzlaff, the lead singer from Potliquor, is a good personal friend of mine. ETA: He was also lead singer for The Basement Wall which was inducted into the LA Music Hall of Fame. This post was edited on 4/8 at 9:01 am Reply Back to Top Refresh
