Posted by DieselTiger1 Made my first hunt on my new lease this weekend. Friday afternoon I saw a few deer including what I thought was a good buck at 80 yards but didn't shoot anything. Saturday morning I had two does come in about 20 yards away and I took one of them. She was a pretty big doe(over 100lbs). After the morning hunt I checked my cameras and noticed that one was different than the rest. Most had over 1000 pictures and this one only had 88. the camera was on a larger tree than I would normally put them on and was hung up using two bungies attached to each other rather that crossing them like I usually do. I thought this was strange but I was excited to check the cameras so I let it go. When I checked it was was very happy with the pictures that I found(two new good bucks) but I also noticed another file saved on my card. This file contained four pictures that weren't mine. They were pictures of a man and women that I don't know. What I think happened is that the guy trespassed, realized he would be on my game cam, took the memory card to try to erase it but actually ended up putting some of his own pictures on my card, then he hung it up on the wrong tree and hung it differently then I do. Needless to say I'm very pissed. Here are some pictures of the weekend including my doe, the two new bucks, and the trespassers pictures that he left on my card. My doe One of the new bucks. Any idea of a score? Another new one. Any idea of a score? and finally here's the pictures that he left on my card.Obviously these weren't taken on a game camera. | I put out a ground blind a couple of years ago on my property WHERE I LIVE! The Saturday before the gun season I went to check a camera and noticed something looked funny. MY frickING BLIND WAS MISSING! I started to look for the pieces of shite. My brother was on his way to a football game and called one of the other farmers in the area to go find me because he knew I was gonna kill these muthafrickers. Never did find my blind or the trespassers. I bought my AR right after that and became quite "proficient" with it. I dare the fricks to wander back on my property. Reply Back to Top |
| That sucks man. I just set out another ground blind this weekend. I'm hoping this doesn't happen to mine. Reply Back to Top |
| you'd shoot a human for tresspassing? Reply Back to Top |
| I would say that 10pt should go 135+. He has nice mainframe, mass, and descent tine length. And no way someone left that on your camera, huh? Reply Back to Top |
| For trepassing I would certainly draw on them and assuming they are poaching and carrying a firearm it would likely end only one way. Hundreds of man hours and thoudands of dollars in managment not to mention the 1200 plus per man just to be on the lease. This post was edited on 10/10 at 7:05 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote: I know its crazy but that's the only way I can explain everything. My camera moved to another tree, pointed the wrong direction, it was hooked up differently, my honey hole only producing 88 pictures when it usually get around 1000, and then the pictures popping up on my memory card. This seems like the only explanation to me. Can you guys think of some other explanation for all this? aliens? Reply Back to Top |

| only one other guy that hunts with me and he cant even find his way to the property with out me, much less get around the lease. I had to walk him to his stand so that he wouldnt get lost. Reply Back to Top |
| Im thinking that they swapped SD cards on the spot but their SD card had photos on it. Friend playing a joke is possible. But illegal action is more likely. Wonder if they took a buck from there too. FWIW trespassing alone is a misdamenor, with a firearm it is a Felony offense. I would report the issue to our local Game warrden and make sure they have copies of the photos. I would also ask for premission to carry a concealed sidearm for protection at all times due to apparent criminal activity on your property. Our cams have caught no less than 6 guys 4 atvs and 2 rots all hog hunting on our property when and where they are not supposed to be. And yes one of them tampered with a cam (touched it and changed its angle of fire) but did nto steal anything. They were all careful not to have their faces captured though. | anyone remember the case from up north a few years back where the poacher shot like seven guys from the treestand he was sitting in. Reply Back to Top |
quote: The reason I think he had to put it on his computer is because my card has pictures on it up to a certain date and the pictures of his have a date stamp on them from a later date. if he had just stuck a used card in there it wouldn't have my earlier pictures on it.
