History was made on Sunday afternoon when French 16-year old Melissa Mayeux became the first woman to be added to MLB's international registration list. This makes her eligible to be signed by an MLB team on July 2nd. MLB's Director of International Game Development, Mike McClellan, said...
quote:

"She's a legitimate shortstop who makes all the plays, and is very smooth and fluid in the field. She swings the bat really well and is fearless."

Slow bat speed, long stride, not nearly compact and explosive enough to make the farm systems, not to mention the show. She's only getting attention to try to bring life back into baseball since it's all but dead. Marketing.

Poly, you could've just said "underage... Would not bang"

Taking a step towards the pitcher usually equals a weak swing. I'm guessing she just unintentionally bunted 3 times.

Jacked up teeth, huge 80's bangs, slow bat, would not bang

If somebody signs her, it'll be a publicity stunt. That's a really slow bat

A Mayeux? I wonder if she has relatives in Avoyelles Parish?

Damn Spunky, way to call a 16 year old girl a bull dyke. Real big man.

And she's actually a pretty girl.

The coach told me that if she was a boy, he would have taken her to state.

I told him that if she was a boy, I'd be talking to the Yankees, instead of being in this place.

Pounding a bunch of routine ground balls. The last might make it to the grass.

Will she make an MLB roster? No she wont.

Will some team probably sign her for publicity reasons? Very likely.
