Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
Bryan Fischer with NFL.com ranked the top current recruiters in college football and LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson came in at No. 1.

Here is what he had to say:
quote:

1. Frank Wilson, LSU
Wilson holds the title of the Tigers' recruiting coordinator and is a big reason why Les Miles' program has become a must-stop for NFL scouts the past few years (and years to come). Wilson is highly regarded for his work in-state, especially his native New Orleans, and comes off a recruiting cycle where he fended off every school in the country for No. 1 recruit Leonard Fournette. He's been an ace recruiter for Ed Orgeron at Ole Miss, Tennessee under Lane Kiffin and now LSU under Miles.
Complete list:

1. Frank Wilson, LSU
2. Mike Locksley, Maryland
3. Adrian Klemm, UCLA
4. Larry Johnson, Ohio State
5. Tee Martin, USC
6. Tommy Thigpen, Tennessee
7. Dameyune Craig, Auburn
8. Odell Haggins, Florida State
9. Kirby Smart, Alabama
10. Chris Kiffin, Ole Miss
11. David Beaty, Texas A&M
12. Jeff Scott, Clemson
13. Kendal Briles, Baylor
14. Bryan McClendon, Georgia

How the hell does Alabama get the #1 class every year if their best recruiter it 9th?

Pay that man!

I'm obviously just being an a-hole. Wilson is doing a great job for you guys. I think Beaty is doing a far better job than 11th.

No recruiter lands every 5 star prospect Whisker, like Bayou said he landed the ones that really mattered and that was LF and Malachi. If he would have got noles I'm sure that still wouldn't have good enough for you!

Can't get em all..... But LF, and Malachi D are two freaks and will show the SEC real soon just how good frank is at getting the best. Hell T Quinn is arguably a better WR anyway. MD is by far the best in his class so was LF. Then you have K Tolliver and hopefully we land T McFadden? LSU needs to land a couple DTs this year also!

He certainly did well with Speedy Noil.

Seems like he has been in BR for longer than just four years.

Wilson is one of the most valuable coaches in the entire LSU athletic department.
