The Advocate reports that Quinn intends on transferring to a FBS school but will not be allowed to join an SEC team.

Quinn plans to remain in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the source said. He will sit out a year, according to NCAA rules.

LSU released Quinn to speak with other schools on Monday, but the program barred him from transferring to a Southeastern Conference team, the source said.
Quinn, a native of Lake Charles, LA finishes his career at LSU with 22 receptions for 276 yards and 0 touchdowns.

I would really rather see him geaux to an FCS school so that he could play right away. He could start immediately. Go to a school with a solid QB that runs a wide open offense. Would catch 75 balls easily. Definitely has the potential to play on Sundays.

Wasted...but LSU has a lot of talent to waste especially at WR...
Too many ingredients for current cooks...

Odell did have the bad drop against UF his sophomore year but he absolutely was our best athlete on the team and it wasn't close. Quinn was not. I don't know when the hell you saw Jarvis Landry EVER drop a ball but I'd like to see that. Dural and Dupree had some awful drops against Eastern Michigan but that doesn't compare to dropping 2 gimmes against Bama when they drill you in the hands to seal the game. I wish the best for Trey and I think he plays on Sundays but Odell, Malachi, Travin and Jarvis never dropped 2 game winners against the #1 team in the nation at home.

We beat Bama if he catches those 2. Quinn is a friend of my nephew. I'll never understand the "no other SEC school" bs. Play him or let him go where he wants

He was the opposite of a Wes Welker across the middle type
Guy. Good kid. But his YAC was non existent and did drop two (2) balls which would have moved the chains and sealed a win.

He is talented but not anywhere close to Drake Davis, Malachi Dupre,
Diarse, etc.

I hope he finds a
Home
And is
A
Fine college player but lacks
Heighth to create seperation at
Collegiate level.

A lot of folks keep saying he dropped passes, can distinctly remember OBJ & JL dropping several balls their soph year...Dural & Dupre dropped passes also...you don't set a national HS record for receptions by dropping very many balls...so that's not the reason he hasn't played...our QB'S can't throw a slant or a 10 yard hook route to save their souls...best they can do is throw it 40 yards and pray someone will go up and catch it...and TQ doesn't fit that mold...like I said, great player, wrong system...

Not a bad move considering OBJ and Landry caliber players on LSU roster, he had his chances though.

Yall keep saying he's a possession receiver, but he dropped a ton of key passes last year. I like the kid, but he had a problem holding on to the ball.

Good luck in the future. I'll be rooting for you.

Cam's version of the Air Coryell offense just wasn't a fit for the boy wonder in the end. I wanted to see him do well here, but now he gets his chance to prove himself at a place assuming he goes somewhere that gets him the ball in space. Good luck to him, see ya on Sundays Trey

I will tip my cap to Coach Miles for being a man of his word, in granting Trey his release. Too bad Cam isn't good for his word. LSU's loss, at any rate.
