LSU QB Brandon Harris might play against Arkansas and Texas A&M.
John Reed-USA TODAY Sports
According to comments made by LSU head coach Les Miles on his radio show Wednesday night, freshman quarterback Brandon Harris may have “an opportunity” to play in LSU's final two games at Arkansas and Texas A&M. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“He’ll have an opportunity in the next several games to show his wares and play some more,” Miles said Wednesday.

“If it looks like it’s best for us to win the game to substitute another quarterback, we will absolutely do that. For me, it’s the best opportunity for victory, the guy who has the greatest chance to help us win the game. Frankly, Brandon Harris is getting closer and closer. We’d love to get him in the game.”
Do you see Harris getting some snaps in these last two games?

I love how people bring up the Auburn game when someone suggests Harris should be the starting QB. Auburn played to their peak that night. They have not played that well in any other game this season. That said, what's the excuse for Jennings, who can't put up a score vs. Arkansas? Who struggled to "manage" vs. Louisiana-Monroe. He couldn't put a score up vs. New Mexico State, because the far inferior squad game-planned just as UofA did Saturday night: Stack the box.

Yes, Harris, a true Freshman with no starting experience, struggled vs. Auburn. Had he been able to finish vs. Auburn, lick his wounds and have the confidence from a coach saying, "You'll be better next week," I have no doubt in my mind that the Tigers would be 9-2 right now. Jennings is serviceable as a back-up. He doesn't understand the concept of a pre-snap read. Beyond the comparison, just consider the way the rest of the team reacts to Harris' presence when he enters the game. Again, burn the Auburn game as an anomaly, and the cruel sense of humor belonging to Les Miles. The team is more of a threat when Harris is on the field. Now's the time to let him make some mistakes, so he's got some seasoning for 2015. If Jennings is the starter next season, my fall will be spent solely watching women's volleyball.

Pretty sure brandon harris never was a 5 star recruit... in my opinion he should have been but wasn't. Also im not trying to defend les but did anyone watch the auburn game brandon was flustered at best the whole game all this baptize him by fire I dont thinks the best approach if this kid ever starts second guessing his decisions he will turn out alot like JL and JJ both thrown in and told sink or swim we all know how that turned out.

Harris will not get any meaningful snaps unless we are getting blown out. Anyone who thinks he will has never watched Les Miles coach football. As to the Miles quote about "whichever guy gives us the best chance" blah blah blah. Bull. Miles' calculus is to measure which guy has the least chance of making a mistake. It's a "play not to lose" mentality.

To ensure he plays, he could get him in during the first 3 series. That way if they're uncomfortable bringing him in late, they would still have been able to provide him some meaningful snaps.

Jennings IMO is just too unsure passing the ball. he has one receiver he goes to.

better let this 5 star player in the game, he may just transfer to a team that will use his services

I don't believe anything that falls out of the mouth of Leslie Miles.

Coach for all his fine qualities, will flat out tell a falsehood to throw off fan criticism. Harris plays only if we sustain a blowout or Jennings goes down.

Rule 1 for Tiger fans, never believe a word coming out of Les Miles' mouth when it comes to playing time for players. Otherwise, Herron would be starting and dominating. Shepard would have received 15 touches a game. It always comes to "We wanted to play _____, but the opportunity never arrived", even when it is a blow out.
