Good hands and good decisions on fielding the punts - speed matters last.

Maybe he gets power from it like Sampson.

Predict at least one pull-down-by-hair in a very crucial situation.

He has speed and has taken the kick to the house

It's refreshing to see they're putting the best players at positions they can have the most impact. DJ could potentially be one of the best returners in the nation.

How do you know this? Did he actually return kicks last season?

Yes, beantown he did, and he scored once or twice, but they were called back. Dude is gonna be a stud.

After years where Keiland Williams, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Tredavious White, Derrius Guice and Leonard Fournette were returning kicks, this is somehow "refreshing?

and Coach BBQ didn't want him on Special Teams. How did we ever win a game? Oh, wait, with Special Teams, we never did under Mr. ''On The Sidelines With My Mouth Open In A Confused State'' Peveto.

Surprised it's not the complete opposite from what I've seen from both in the past - with Clyde on punt and Jackson on KO. But I'll trust our coaches. Not like my opinion matters anyway.

Maybe I'm alone, but this excites me. He's got all the tools to be a great PR. Just needs a bit more coaching. Also, CEH at KR is gonna be a LOT of fun to watch.

I'm excited about it as well. He will get better with the reps. I guess some people don't think he should back there because he fumbled a kickoff one time.

Coaches just need to tell him before the game that if it's close take caution, doesn't need to be some hero. Wait for a mistake by the punter to make a play. If the punter does his job, then do yours and just catch the ball. If he makes a mistake, you make him pay.

Could we see a KORTD by LSU in Tiger Stadium this year?

At least he'll be able to contribute via special teams.

idk man, this makes me nervous. though White was dynamic when he safely fielded punts, his decision making was sketchy at times. I feel the same about Jackson. oh well, I trust the coaches. I prefer PR's like chad jones/Dominic Davis/Skylar Green........guys who can outrun most but can also break tackles. Hope he tears it up though!

Yea everyone makes mistakes. I just hope after his miscues as a freshman he learned and does great things.
