FootbalScoop.com is reporting that former LSU cornerback Chevis Jackson, who was a defensive analyst on Les Miles' staff last season is headed to Ball State to take the defensive back coaching position.

Prior to joining LSU's staff last season, Chevis worked with the defensive backs as a graduate assistant at South Alabama.

The Mobile, AL native played at LSU from 2004-2008 and was a part of LSU's 2008 BCS National Championship team. He was named as a first-team All-SEC selection in 2007.
