Is the media allowed at practice today?

Glad someone else noticed this. He looked as smooth as some WRs.

Ed Paris is so explosive! Nice.

Depth is low at WR so they're giving him a shot.

So why is Mickey running the passing gauntlet? Was this just some lighthearted thing or is he going to be used in some jumbo package on O?

And what good is a DT who is "incapable of being moved" if he, himself, is "unable to move"?

Apparently I said exactly what I thought I was trying to say. Thanks.

It's not that far-fetched to think Jefferson can play some WR. He played it in the past, and could handle the position at the college level. All that said, I like him at SS. We have enough options at WR.

Trey Quinn is very impressive in that video of him running that route. Going to be a great one.

My player of the year pick.

Not that I don't think he could but I just think he would get buried on the depth chart since he doesn't have as much experience as the other guys.

Twat? He played Wr in hs, every recruiting site list him as a wr, he had just as much time playing wr as any other frosh coming in. But i like him at safety, being able to snag the ball is just a bonus.

My breakout player this year. He can dominate if used correctly. He's a natural pass catcher

Same here. He could be our 2nd best pass catcher this season behind Dural. Also depends on how quickly these freshman can get acclimated to SEC football. But I'm expecting Smith to be a big part of our passing attack.

And Cameron has a pretty good track record for utilizing TEs in the passing game.... Antonio Gates and Dennis Pitta come to mind. And yea last year we didn't look to the TE... But a lot of that is because we had 2 studs on the outside in Juice and OBJ and Mett barely looked at anyone else, and because we really didn't have a big time pass catching TE. Smith wasn't ready and Gordon is more of a blocking TE.

This year we have inexperienced WRs with inexperienced QBs. Utilizing the TE in the passing game will make it much easier on the QBs... Especially a TE with the skills of DeSean Smith who is a mismatch nightmare.

I honestly think Rickey Jefferson should be playing WR.

No.

Not that I don't think he could but I just think he would get buried on the depth chart since he doesn't have as much experience as the other guys. He's a great athlete so he should be on the field and safety is where we can do that the quickest.

He's a great elite. Quick twitch, slot type with good hands. He's familiar with playing WR, he took some snaps there at Destrehan. They needed him at DB last season because of depth concerns but I think it's a different story this season.
Melvin - 18 months
Based on a drill that requires no route running?

I honestly think Rickey Jefferson should be playing WR.
