Belhaven Coach Hal Mumme On Ed Orgeron: "I've Turned Him In To The NCAA"

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Belhaven coach Hal Mumme was very critical of LSU's Ed Orgeron after two of his Louisiana satellite camps involving Texas, Houston, and Cornell were canceled.

Mumme claims that Orgeron is the reason that the camps were canceled and called him "paranoid."

On Thursday during a radio interview with 99.1 The Game in Birmingham, AL, Mumme talked more about Orgeron and said that he "turned him in to the NCAA."

I love how these clowns always resort to the "what's good for the kid" argument, like that has anything at all to do with why they are there.

This. He's mad that he can't go into a talent rich state and make HIS football team better. Period. Every coach that I ever played for or met who disguised their blind rage at the world and their failures as somehow "caring for the kids" was a fricking nutcase and had a profoundly negative impact on kids' lives. If he cares about the kids so much then he needs to get off his lazy arse this season and make it out to games in LA and give every kid who contacts him a legitimate look.

Hal could always partner with his old employer, Southeastern, to run a camp in Hammond. I'm guessing that he burned bridges on his way out though.

Mummy has transformed himself from a possible to be, to a never will be. He is coaching at a school that has fewer students than many large high schools. He doesn't deserve to be named in any sentence with any LSU coach.

Glad to see that O is going above and beyond to keep some of these prospects in state. I'm tired of seeing some of Louisiana's top prospects ally with other SEC schools...Dylan Moses, Cam Robinson, Dak Prescott. O said he was gonna build a fence around Louisiana. I'm just glad O is a man of his word.
