John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
Five-star Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa told USA Today Sports on Wednesday that he remains committed to the Crimson Tide but will talk with his family about his new offer from LSU.
quote:

“I’m graduating early so that’s something I know,” Tagovailoa told USA TODAY from St. Louis High. “I committed to Alabama. I gave them my word. That’s that. I talked to my parents about this LSU offer, and they have their quarterback committed already (four-star Louisiana senior Lowell Narcisse). If they’re really trying hard and interested in me we should be getting calls today or this week.

“I speak with Coach Saban on FaceTime every Sunday, and it does make me feel good that he’s committed to that with me and we have connected so much.”
Tagovailoa is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the country for 2017. One of his main recruiters at Alabama is offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who has been recently linked to the LSU job.

IF Jalen Hurts wins the Natty, he will be Nick Saban's last starting quarterback. JMHO.

-I was thinking the exact same thing- "Or Saban is pulling some Gangsta shite by getting Kiffin to pretend like he's coming here and getting him to tell O to offer Tua a scholly so we'll piss off Brennan and lose him without getting Kiffin or Tua" Coach O better be in Mississippi this weekend at Miles Brennan House !!

Too much X-files conspiracy. I doubt all that because the friendship and business relationship between Kiffin and Orgeron is widely known and very real.

Maybe we aren't getting Kiffin, but he tipped off O that there's NO way he's working for Saban after this season. It's that or he's coming, either one. There is no other explanation of the timing of the offer. Plus, he wouldn't see the field for 2 years at Bama

If Coach O takes Saban's OC and 5 star QB and then beats him next year hand him a lifetime contract

The only reason I see LSU offering him a scholarship is that Kiffen is coming and bring Tua with him. Other than that, it's a huge gamble to piss other committed QB's off and lose them.

Why did we offer this kid when we've never had any contact with him during the year. He's never camped here and the only way it would work was if he was following Kiffin. No way Kiffin is recruiting against Bama as he is on staff there. This makes no sense at all. To think this kid is coming is a head scratcher. And to lose Brennan over it is a double head scratcher.

Panzer--"No way Kiffin recruiting against bama while on staff". He is not the most moral guy out there. I think LSU need a dirty guy like Kiffin.

Yeah, I am worried about dirty tactics vs. Bama and the REC. Uh, nope.

Saban doing the Bear Bryant recruiting all the players that can start at other schools to sit on bench at Bama.

All these star players don't seem to mind bench warming at Bama instead of actually playing anywhere else. It's a head scratcher. It's really sad that LSU lost out on two local LBs to Bama. Bama is loaded at that position and LSU isn't but they'd still rather go there.

Narcisse is the forgotten name in all this - he'll end up being the best of them all

Thats if he ever stays off the IR. 2 alc tears before 20 is not good.

Could be Glorius. Narcisse was highly recruited by Auburn and they run the spread. Didn't know about the ACL tears. Is he recovered and healthy now?
