Jakori Savage, a 6-6, 283-pound offensive lineman from Bay Minette, AL (Baldwin County) committed to LSU on Tuesday night.

Baldwin County coach Nathan McDaniel confirmed his commitment to AL.com Tuesday:

"So proud of Jakori and his decision to commit to LSU," McDaniel said. "This is an offer that he has said he wanted from the very beginning of the process. We are extremely excited about Jakori's future as well as the rest of our kids."

McDaniel told AL.com on Monday that Savage would likely be a redshirt candidate as a freshman in order to add weight.

"I've told every college coach that comes through here that if Jakori ends up in the right spot, he will be a draft pick in five years," McDaniel said.
Savage has not been rated by most major recruiting websites but is listed as a three-star prospect on Rivals.com.

LSU is now up to 13 verbal commitments for the class of 2016, with the addition of Savage.

Tigers scraping the bottom of the barrel for Alabama OL's that neither Bama or Auburn want. Why is that?.....

Bay Minette/Gulf Shores/Mobile is LSU Tiger country for many in the Gulf Region. I can see why he would want to go to LSU.
