Four-star linebacker Willie Gay from Starkville, MS (Starkville HS) announced Wednesday that he has committed to Mississippi State.

He chose to stay home and play for his hometown team over offers from Ole Miss, LSU and Michigan.

The 6-2, 220-pound prospect from Starkville, MS is rated the No. 3 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Mississippi for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports.

Good luck Willie. Kid was a fun recruit to follow and never made a mockery of any of his schools of choice. I will root for the kid except for when he plays LSU.
