LSU tied for the SEC Championship with Florida. LSU won the SEC tournament with one of the lowest ERA's in tournament history and 10 runned two teams on the way. They went 1-2 on the road early in SEC play at Florida and beat the team that beat Florida 16-0 in the tournament. That should have been enough to flip that seeding.

Bottom line is Florida won head to head. If LSU had beaten Florida for the tournament title instead of Arkansas, the seeding might have been reversed.

A top 8 National Seed guarantees a host site for regionals and super regionals. Once you get to Omaha, seeding really doesn't matter, as unseeded Coastal Carolina proved last year. All 8 teams who make it to Omaha are quality teams who really have an equal chance to win it, imo. Florida beat us 2-1 in the regular season, so I guess the committee decided to give them the nod over us in seeding. Although we rank ahead of them in the polls. It really doesn't matter. TCB and be the last one standing and committees and polls are irrelevant. Good luck Tigers!

This regional should be a blood bath. Not worried about any potential matchup facing So. Miss, So. Alabama or MS State at the box in the super regional either. Great draw for the Tigers to get back to Omaha!

How does Florida get a higher seed when LSU beat them and the gators got skull drug in SEC tourney? Answer: typical bias against LSU. Win it all boys!

What you said is not wrong, but head to head they beat us 2-1. Its a committee so who knows what went into it.

Florida actually beat LSU in the series earlier this season (it was @Fla tho) and they did get violated by Arkansas in the semis if the SEC Tourney but no doubt Flirida deserved a high national seed as they certainly earned it during the regular season and lets not act like they went 0-2 in the tourney they actually looked pretty damn good until the Arky game so no bias here as far as my opinion from the committee. LSU and Fla look like NC contenders.
