It is being reported that Former LSU Baseball player Ryan Theriot will be retiring from MLB. Theriot played in the majors for eight seasons with the Cubs, Dodgers, Cardinals and Giants and finished with .281 AVG, 257 RBI, and .341 OBP. Theriot won the World Series with St. Louis in 2011 and San Francisco in 2012.

At LSU, Theriot scored the game winning run in the 2000 National Championship game following a Brad Cresse single. The CWS title was the fifth for LSU in nine seasons.
