Interesting flavors

Service was slowwww - Friday lunch took almost 2 hours and they were not that busy. Redfish pate was smooth. Shrimp dumplings were tasty, but came 3 to an order - awkward if you have 2 or 4 diners. We asked for an extra dumpling b/c there were 4 of us and they complied. The sushi special was good but there were quite a few pieces of crabshell in the crab layer. Everything was well-presented, fresh, and flavorful.

Mike's on the Avenue

Went to Mike's on the Avenue about a month ago. It was great. Awesome view of St. Charles Ave. My date and I each drank a glass of veuve clicquot champagne and I had the New Orleans sushi roll and the crispy duck. It was very good and we got out of there at a very reasonable price. Service and atmosphere was excellent. We will be back soon.
