We had not been to Muriel's in a while, but the long wait at Stanley's made it a good option recently. As with my past experience, I quickly remembered that the restaurant has a great location and setting. What I didn't remember was the quality of their food. I was extremely impressed with the mirliton with shrimp and andouille stuffing, baked and served with a roasted creole tomato sauce. This dish was one of their Classic New Orleans Lunch items. The lunch was reasonably priced and the service was good. I'll be back soon to sample other dishes.

Wonderful Location on Jackson Square

Casual elegance with a great location.
We visited for lunch and were quite pleased with the dining experience. The daily special was excellent. This was a flavorful wood grilled salmon with a healthy serving of shrimp and accompanied by rice and asparagus. Our second dish was the shrimp omelet. This three egg omelet had shrimp, andouille sausage, peppers and onions, and was served with thinly sliced and cut potatoes which were delicious.
The service was very good with a separate beverage server who nicely complemented the main server.
Overall, the dining experience was very good.
