Great Food......Long wait, Terrible Service
by irvine555 on 1/30/13
The wife and I have been to DiGiulio Bros. 2-3 times before and each time the food is excellent. During our previous visits we also received avg. service, but that was totally different during out last visit (1-26-13). We arrived a little befor 7pm and were told it would be a 30-45 min wait, no big deal. We we waited, and waited....until an hour and 15 mins later we were seated in the very small restaurant. We shrugged this off to maybe we just timed it bad and it was pretty busy, but then it took another 10 mins before our waitress came by our table. There were 3 waitresses working that night, when there should have been atleast 4. The true problem was the kitchen, getting food out, as the table next to us (6 top), had 4 people get their food 15 mins before the other 2.
All in all the food is awesome, but if the service continues the way it currently is, we will look else where for our Italian fix next time.

Love it every time I go!

A great Italian restaurant that is very low key. Fettuccine is very good, as well as the veal. Service is very good as well.

I was not too happy.
by LSUBCILUVTHEM on 12/27/11
I ordered a grilled shrimp caesar salad and it was not homemade dressing as I was told by our waitress. The shrimp were nicely grilled but the salad overall was a disappointment. My friend ordered a veggie pizza and the veggies were cold, not baked or roasted. It was embarrassing to say the least. Two of our friends ordered pasta meals and were very happy.

Fun Sunday Brunch
by Martini on 11/19/10
I think this is great little place with some of the best old time Italian around. The Sunday brunch is nice with a great Carbonnara that we all like and of course several good egg dishes. No reservations so I rarely go on a Friday night and as of late have been hitting it on Sundays after church but if you are willing to wait and just have a cocktail outside it's worth it. Small, loud and good like an old Italian joint should be. Mimosa's are really good. They have a nice little wine list with two really good Chianti.

Great place for a date. Veal dishes are outstanding. Salads are great. Good pizza.
