A charity in New Orleans needs your help, and I am asking that you consider donating to their cause.

Grace House ( gracehouseneworleans.org) needs your help to expand their much needed substance abuse treatment services for women. Their goal for 2010 is to fund 46 new residential substance abuse treatment beds in order to house women in the New Orleans metro region.

You can support Grace House in this worthy cause by joining them for Grace's Gumbo Gala and becoming a sponsor. Grace's Gumbo Gala will be held on October 9, 2009 at Southport Hall and includes the chance to win $10,000 in our big winning raffle!

The Gumbo Gala will feature gumbo from numerous New Orleans fine restaurants and chefs, including beverages and an evening of musical entertainment.

The mission of Grace House is to assist chemically dependent women in leading sober and productive lives by providing long-term residential treatment, regardless of ability to pay. Grace House is the only residential substance abuse treatment facility exclusively for women in our area.
