A source told ProFootballWeekly that Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has already met with Kelly during a visit to Oregon. There are no rules against an NFL general manager meeting with a college coach, so such a meeting could take place without causing much comment.

After a 1-3 start, Eagles QB Mike Vick is tired of this "Dream Team" talk. Vick said Wednesday...
quote:

“I think the ‘Dream Team,’ that word is dead now,”...“Can’t talk ‘Dream Team’ anymore. Maybe it put pressure on some players, maybe it didn’t. But I just think the fact that it was lingering around and people were talking about it creates a sense of pressure.”

“It’s over with now,” said Vick. “We’re one of the teams that has to scratch and kick from the bottom and figure out how we’re going to get ourselves back in a position where we can compete with the best teams in this league. We’re a team gunning just like everybody else now.”

“I don’t think we’re putting in any more effort than the previous weeks, I just think there’s a sense of urgency now,” said Vick. “Guys really see the position we’re in and really understand what it takes to get back.”
Something needs to happen in Philly or those fans will eat that team alive.

A few key injuries to major players yesterday....

Eagles QB Michael Vick suffered a concussion in the third quarter of the Eagles' 35-31 loss Sunday night. Vick was not hospitalized and was cleared to travel with the team back to Philadelphia, but will have to undergo concussion-specific testing before he can be cleared to return to practice or play in a game.

Cowboys confirmed that QB Romo fractured a rib during the victory, a source told ESPN's Ed Werder that the team believes he actually suffered two fractured ribs during the game. Cowboys RB Felix Jones separated his shoulder and WR Miles Austin pulled a hamstring later in the game.

Chiefs RB Jamal Charles suffered a torn ACL in his left knee against the Lions yesterday, ending his season.
