Mississippi has agreed to pay former coach Houston Nutt a lump sum of $4.35 million to complete his contract buyout. Nutt was fired after the 2011 season with about $6 million remaining on his contract. Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork said on Saturday in a statement that the school's agreement with Nutt happened last month, and the one-time payment would save the athletic department about $550,000. He said the money came from the school's private athletic foundation.

Former Arkansas and Ole Miss head football coach Houston Nutt has joined CBS Sports Network. Unfortunately, he will not be doing CBS's SEC games, instead he will be working Army and Navy home games as well as matchups from the Patriots League, Mountain West and Conference USA.

Mississippi's coach Houston Nutt has dismissed sophomores linebacker Clarence Jackson and defensive end Delvin Jones after an incident early Friday morning where both players were arrested for public drunkenness. Coach Nutt had this to say...
