An invite to spring practice is pretty sweet. Apparently, she booted 10 extra points and a 31-yard field goal for Spotsylvania High School in Spotsylvania, VA, last fall.

Virginia Tech offensive lineman Blake DeChristopher is out 4-6 weeks with a strained left pectoral muscle. He is entering his fourth season as a starter and has 37 career starts, including 22 in a row.

The 2013 college football season will start with Alabama playing Virginia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. Boise State and Georgia will match up in this season's opener at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 3.
