Former University of Tennessee basketball employee Troy Willis, who spent eight seasons as the strength and conditioning coach for the Vols until being let go after last season by coach Cuonzo Martin,
was arrested and charged wtih burglary, theft, and vandalism on Saturday.
According to the report, Willis snuck into the arena early Saturday morning before using a hack saw to enter the office of event management director Bill Whitesell. Once he got inside, he reportedly caused $750 in damages and swiped over $4,000 worth of items from Whitesell's desk.
Surveillance footage shows Willis walking down a hallway inside Thompson-Boling Arena with a saw in his hands and attempting to hide it underneath his coat at times.
He was originally hired by former Vols head coach Buzz Peterson and began working for the program during the 2004-05 season.
