The No. 9 LSU Tigers (5-1, 3-1) will host unranked Auburn Tigers (5-2, 2-2) on Saturday, October 24th. Kickoff in Tiger Stadium is at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
LSU, which lost to No. 1 Florida two weeks ago, was idle last weekend. Auburn has lost two games in row, including a 21-14 loss to Kentucky last weekend.
This will be the 44th meeting between the two schools. LSU leads the overall series with a record of 23-19-1. LSU has won the last two meetings, and three of the last four. Click here for the series history.
As I posted a few days ago: This a great example of why a bye week helps LSU football, but for the Rant...sometimes not so much.
In our spare time with no game week, we've fired our head coach and offensive coordinator, benched and exiled our QB, promoted and cured J. Lee, determined that Flynn was a better QB than J. Russell, perfectly deconstructed the BCS system and formula, rescinded the scholarships of the entire offensive line and have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that sacks are worse than pick-sixes. Also, on the strength of three solid blog-articles on Tiger Rant, Carl Dubois received a Pulitzer.
