Chalk up another award for Les Miles. Today he was named the Walter Camp 2011 Coach of the Year. The Walter Camp Coach of the Year is selected by the nation’s 120 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors.

Miles has also won 2011 Home Depot and AP National Coach of the Year honors.
According to this article on ESPN, some AP voters are planning to vote LSU No. 1 in their final ballot, even if LSU loses to Alabama on Monday.

This could result in a split champion scenario, which we last saw in 2003 with LSU and USC.
The LSU football team will depart from campus today at 4pm CT and head to the New Orleans Riverside Hilton. According to LSU SID Michael Bonnette, ESPN will have a helicopter following the buses and providing live footage of the short trip to New Orleans.
TigerDroppings.com enjoyed another banner year in 2011. For the year, we had:

467,416,939 Pageviews and 8,694,840 Unique Visitors

The growth of the site has been nothing short of spectacular and it continues to exceed our expectations. Not too shabby for a website that was once known as the "crappiest LSU site on the internet."

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to the site's success.
