That’s why you trade for them..

WTF do the Lakers have to trade for him? I don’t think Reaves and a pupu player of guys like Rui and distant firsts will do the job.

That’s all the Heat and Nets have to offer also

Then we would certainly be a favorite if Mitchell was willing to extend.

well he's not a FA, so if we trade for him he plays for us.

And we can offer for more than any other team can for him, and i'd do it in a heartbeat and take the chance.

You giving up Trey to get 1 year of Mitchell?

It'll take multiple dudes from our team. Not just anyone or salary, actual dudes.

I agree in theory, and I know I always say a small market team like us has to swing for the fences, but I think the combination of the price plus likely guarantee that it's a 1 year thing, this doesn't seem to be the one. And I love Mitchell.

No need to

Ingram and Herb with 5 picks for Mitchell and Allen would beat any other offer anybody could put out there.

You obviously only do it if he agrees to the extension before the trade though, or at least says he would definitely be willing to re-sign

If we can convince him to sign an extension with us, you give them BI, Dyson, Nance and whatever picks needed to get them to throw in Allen. Mitchell is the guy that you empty the war chest for.

Mitchell
Herb
Trey
Zion
Allen

That is a DAMN good team.

I don’t understand the Herb is untouchable talk, yes he’s a good player but if you have to send him out to get a star that pairs great with Zion you do it everyday and twice on Sunday.

You obviously try for Dyson and Nance instead of Herb, but they not accepting that or not including Allen.

I'd rather give up my bench and more picks.

That lineup posted above would be insane

Want but I have a feeling they’ll want Herb as well. Tough pill to swallow for some of you.

No.

anyone else giving up a player as good as BI to the Cavs who are looking to still be a contender in the East?

And if they wanted someone other than BI, then we can go get that player from a 3rd team using BI.

And if they wanted Herb, that's fine, but I want Allen back now.

And Cavs would rather send him somewhere else. If you want the player you have to beat other teams packages, and Ingram with Dyson and Nance along with what they know will be late first round picks don’t beat them other packages.

Yeah it’ll have to be BI, Herb and 3 picks

Maybe it can be a little less since he has 1 year left in his contract but idk
