Tommy hits the ball opposite field as good as anyone I have ever seen in an LSU uniform. It is impressive.

He would have been picked much higher after last year's run but he is still a first rounder

No, he’s a better prospect after this season due to his defense. The MLB scouts aren’t stupid; they know that being behind Crews helped both of those players.

This season the opposing pitching staffs have focused on not letting White beat them, and he has still produced.

This is an arguable fact. I will not pretend to know the MLB scouting thought process, but I would guess this would be a bullet point in his draft report under the PROS column. And that it would be near the top of that column.

No I think Nolan Ryan topped out at 100.8 at the plate. Today the mph is measured when it leaves the hand. Big difference. Aroldis Chapman was 105.8 as a rookie.

Difference between this year and last year for White is he did not get alot of good pitches to look at this year compared to last year. Top of our order last year got on base(Crews, Dugas, Morgan) so opposing pitchers had to throw strikes. This year Tommy was trying to do too much and swinging at some bad pitches and when he did get hits there was no one on base in front of him. MLB knows he can hit to all fields and now with his dramatic improve at third he will do very well at the next level.

If he’s not ALOT of clubs will regret it. His hitting to all parts of field is already there , he has power and avg
Plus I can’t remember one throw from 3rd that wasn’t a laser.

Yes, the hitting is very good but his defense at third has separated him from others. He will get professional coaching with his hitting approach and he will be great. Natural talent.

His power to opposite field even with two strikes is elite.
