Not strange at all. Inflation makes my 401k and Roth IRA real gains much more modest and less than the real gains I had before when inflation was at 2%.

By your logic we should encourage inflationary practices because hur hur numbers get bigger.

The American Left are literally the only people in the world who equate the stock market with economic strength.

In this case, it isn't even a leading indicator.

Trump loved to talk about peoples 401k’s when he was President. Wonder why he is silent now since DOW is much higher than when he was in office? Kinda strange.

When he was president, you could buy products at reasonable prices. Kinda strange you haven't noticed the rapid acceleration of the costs of pretty much everything. In the past few years, I hit some milestones in my savings, but I feel less confident in the value. I feel like retirement is farther away than I did a few years ago.

Quantitative Easing under Jug Ears inflated this and it has never came back down.

The system is being manipulated.

Do you care to point out that the Dow actually closed yesterday lower than it closed the day before?

If the Dow WAS, 30,000 in 2018 and is now 40,000, did our wealth increase by 25%?

If the cost of a dozen eggs was $3 in 2018 and is now $4, do we now have sixteen eggs?

Money Printing has consequences. It’s kind of like stupidity in that regard.

Psaki says Biden doesn't look at the stock market to judge how well the economy is doing

This administration has made it clear that the stock market is not an indicator of how the economy is doing.

runaway inflation tends to do that -

what is great is when the DOW is a reflection of national productivity instead of a reflection of how everything has to cost more because of runaway inflation.

If Biden pumps another trillion or two into the economy, the DOW will respond to that also - because is goes along with 5 dollar gas and 200 dollar grocery bills.

meanwhile - the lowest of the rungs on the ladder who cannot afford to 'play the market' are left with the choice of what to eat tonight as still be able to pay the rent.

congrats - root for another 20 trillion$$$ influx and see the market rise again. The Nancy Pelosi's of the world made another billion dollars while the plumber has to tighten his belt again.

Nobody gives a frick about the stock market - only the rich give a frick about the stock market.

“Rich” is a relative term. Most middle class folks have significant money in the stock market. That includes pension funds, BTW. Obviously the rich will benefit more, because they have a higher percentage of their wealth in stocks.

In inflationary times the stock market has to go up just to maintain the status quo.

true dat - and that is what is happening now.

back when the stock market was going up while inflation was LOW - that was an indication of actual great economy.

BUT - back then, miserable scum like Biden were all out there saying = "stock market doesn't have anything to do with economy",

NOW that stock market is chasing the trillions of wasteful spending, Biden is out there crowing about his 'success' -

Biden - most stupid bastard ever to hold the office - and by far the most evil man to hold any high position in US government.

That entire family is pure trash -

OK, just a few short months ago, I purchased a few sheets of plywood to do some remodeling around the house.

I WAS paying about 20 dollars a sheet, wanna know what the price per sheet of that same plywood is now?

The price of that same sheet of plywood is NOW 40 bucks a sheet.

Now tell us, WHAT happened?

Did the price of the plywood go up OR did the value of the dollar go down?

Tell us oh 'wise' one, why is the price of a simple loaf of bread now doubled?

Why is the price of food nearly doubled in the last few years?

Why are prices of nearly everything we purchase in our daily lives going up?

The mega-wealthy, ie , gates, buffet, bloomberg, zuckerberg, the walton family...WHO BTW happen to be leftist rat donaters to the ccp/dnc party, doesn't even flinch.

The well-to-do, mostly white ill-liberals, shrug inflation off like water on a ducks back.

Look at our politicians, ya know the ones who are supposed to be looking out for us. like pelousy,, biden, the clintons, schumer, the rinos, even the jug-headed Kenyan, what's his name? Is it barry, obama...these rats are worth millions, hundreds of millions.

They living like kangz and queenz.

The poors, well they just get more food stamps and bigger EITC payments.

The working and middle-class, they are ones who are getting squeezed and squeezed hard.

AND our US debt just gets larger and larger day by day. It up to what now, 35 trillion?

Guess how many zeros are in a trillion. 12

So as of now, the US federal debt is 35,000,000,000,000 dollars

The folks that are supposed to be looking out for us are adding a trillion dollars(1,000,000,000,000 dollars) to the federal debt EVERY 3 months.
