Unfortunately this is the case, we pay but not anywhere near what the others are paying.
I know for a fact, that the kid from OGHS has been offered 650k for one year. That was Ole Miss, When his brother was committed to Texas A and M the package deal was 1.5 million.
When Petrino and Jimbo were let go, that's when His father pushed for Ole Piss, the dad is good friends with Pete Golding, they played CFB together at Delta St.
Drew still tells me he wants to play for UGA but Ole Miss is probably gonna get him in the end. I was joking with the dad yesterday at our son's practice yesterday, saying how cool it would be for him to be at Lsu and getting to see Drew smash AJ. From what I'm hearing AJ is gonna be the backup over Howard. I will have to wait and see about that.
He/Dad does have a meeting setup to speak with Austin Thomas this weekend.
The Oatis kid from hattiesburg high is a big Lsu fan and Bo dropped in to see him as well, but in the end they will go to probably the highest bidder and that's currently the Tx schools, the rebels, and surprisingly Fla st.
Take all this with a grain of salt, he might be fricking with me, ya never know.

Maybe he is saying we spend our money on coaches who are best able to tune your skills to play pro ball. So you can learn from the best in hopes of earning more money in the pros instead of not learning and being unable to make as much. Teaching you how to fish instead of buying you fish now. This was likely the philosophy when we emptied our pockets for coaches salaries . Pay coaches or pay players.
