re: OU Fans: Have the cups been printed?
Posted by Oklahomey on 5/23/24 at 7:27 am
Unfortunately, it is from OU Football’s official Instagram page. I was hoping not because there are convincing pages out there from what may be legit accounts but are not. This, however, is not the case and is legit.

If Tennessee got run-ruled, your fans would say, “it doesn’t matter. More rest anyways to get ready for the bigger picture.” Kentucky is resting up for the bigger picture. They already won the SEC title. ...

re: Crazy to think that an NBA Final could be Minnesota and Indiana.
Posted by Oklahomey on 5/20/24 at 6:20 pm
Last time the NBA Finals featured teams that never won an NBA title or even made an NBA Finals was 2006 (Heat vs. Mavericks).
Minnesota/Indiana would be the new “two teams to never win a title” matchup. The latter wouldn’t work since the Pacers were in the 2000 Finals. ...

I’m between Moore and Norman. The original tornado that was around Union City and Mustang was heading toward my direction. The new circulation took over and switched the storm direction to straight east. We got lucky. Now just getting rain. Sirens did go off twice as a precaution. I didn’t see us ge...

re: F the OKC Thunder

What’s wrong with an early start? If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time then you’re late. That has always been a great mentality when working in the real world. Besides, no one went to Hornets games New Orleans. Louisiana has always been about LSU and Saints. ...

Hornets needed a place to play for a couple years. OKC stepped up. Playing in OKC sure was a hell of a lot better than that sewer city of New Orleans. ...

Blue Bell is one of the worst brands. It’s made with HFCS and other artificial and unnecessary fillers. Blue Bell has always been garbage. ...

You could have left off #15.
Panera Bread (St. Louis Bread Company) is overpriced and overrated.
You left off French’s Mustard as being a positive.
Anyone anywhere can ask for unsweetened tea.
When I think of pizza styles, nothing in Missouri comes to mind.
Oklahoma has four dist...

Good list. I’m surprised to see Leipold that high when he has done nothing much as of yet unless KU defeating OU and getting to a bowl is considered a big deal.
I’d think Gundy and Riley would be higher.
Swinney is falling. His relevance is slowly declining but those two national titles stil...

and quite possibly ignore the success from 1983-1985? Do the major NCAA infractions overshadow 1984-1985?
Gators went 27-4-3 during those three years. 1984 was an SEC title season despite being vacated several months later. While on probation, Florida was still eligible for AP rankings. They wer...
re: New conference name needed

The “SEC” name and branding is bigger than any name in college athletics. There is no way it will change. It’s refreshing that there is no “BIG” or no “NUMBER” in the name. ...

re: Which win was a bigger deal in Louisiana? 2003 National Championship or Super Bowl XLIV?

Most LSU fans I’ve talked to who live here in Oklahoma have said the 2003 BCS title. They said it was the biggest thing ever to happen for the state considering 1958 was a distant memory.
I remember being in New Orleans in January 2004. You not only had LSU fans but a crap ton of people who may ...
