Not sure about the hard part behind him.
I think it’s easier to know you’re done and just your inner circle knows you’re done.
As a public figure he now has to answer questions, hear comments from the gallery and perhaps even reads some stuff he doesn’t like. ...

The PGA is the weakest of the 4 majors as such not surprising they’re the first to hand out “special” invites.
I quoted “special” because it don’t think it’s all that special. These are top 50 guys even if the OWGR say otherwise.
So gives this the PGA a stronger field and more to talk about ...

Gooch is a top 50 player. Hate LIV all you want but it should be easy enough to see he is very good or check data golf.
So no issue with the tournament get the best field they can get.
People also complain about Gooch “bitching” but he isn’t the one asking the questions in the interviews.
